Our client is a major private not-for-profit hospital group and a leading provider of acute healthcare services in South Australia. Their facility at Flinders is a centre of excellence, equipped with 9 state-of-the-art operating theatres, angiography labs, and a 24/7 cardiac emergency centre. Their strong culture of collaboration, quality, and patient-first care makes this an ideal opportunity for a skilled CSSD Manager ready to lead, mentor, and drive continuous improvement in sterile services.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the CSSD, overseeing sterilisation and reprocessing of reusable medical devices
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standard 5369:2023, GENCA, ISO, and ACHS standards
  • Coach, mentor, and develop CSSD staff to maintain a high-performing and cohesive team
  • Collaborate with Perioperative Services to ensure timely, safe and effective support to the theatre team
  • Contribute to strategic planning and service development initiatives
  • Maintain documentation, quality assurance records and reporting requirements
  • Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement


KEY SKILLS

  • Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services (or working toward it)
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a CSSD Team Leader
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant industry standards and hospital protocols
  • Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring capability
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer literacy and documentation accuracy
  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management (desirable)
  • Membership with SRACA or GENCA (desirable)
